About the event

Just a few years ago Kern County, like many cities and counties across the US, was struggling to find a way to get employees engaged in taking control of their work and finding ways to serve their customers faster and better. They knew change needed to happen and implemented the Launch Kern initiative to take the first step in governing with excellence.

Fast forward just a few short years, and nearly 1,000 employees have gone through this exact workshop that has led to well over a hundred ideas and savings of nearly $20M, not to mention the elimination of over 70,000 hours of unnecessary work. The hours alone are equivalent to getting 35 additional full-time employees!

In this workshop you'll learn the secret to their success of implementing small ideas that can be implemented quickly that when stacked on top of one another can lead to really big results. If you're frustrated with the processes you work with and know they could be faster and better register to day to take the first step in improving, and even better, experiencing more joy in your work.

Dr. Scott Thor is your instructor for this workshop. He will engage you with fun exercises to bring to life what process improvement is all about. He also incorporates many of the human elements that are often overlooked when making process changes. As Dr. Thor likes to say, "process improvement would be easy if people didn't have to be involved!" However, we all know people are what drives organizations forward, so Scott makes sure to address may of the people challenges that come along with process improvement.

Send your questions, concerns, etc. to Scott at Scott@ScottThorLLC.com or give him a call at 661.204.9448.
